Started in 1979 by a drywall contractor who still owns the company, Columbia has developed a North American network of distributors and dealers. Our focus will always remain on making jobs easier and more profitable for the drywaller, by crafting premium quality tools that are a pleasure to own and use.

Equipped with the latest CNC technologies Columbia 's capabilities are endless. We are very proud to be the only company in the industry that designs, engineers, manufactures and assembles all of our tools in-house. Every year that passes we move closer to giving you that perfect tool. Every step forward we make, no matter how small is added to our manufacturing process, and given to you the customer. With value added features or improvements being released monthly at no additional cost to the end user.

Since we build all of our tools in-house we can keep the cost of manufacturing down and deliver the savings directly to you through our strong dealer network. Our quality has grown throughout the years and is now our biggest sense of pride. Columbia 's taping tools out sell the competition, not because they are less expensive, but because they are built using superior components laid out in a superior design.

The origin of our components are US Steel mills, US Aluminum mills, and other US manufactures in the Cable, Blade , Spring and Rubber industries. Our product origin is over 90% US with the remainder coming from Japan and Canada.

Our goal as a company is to produce tools that out perform similar tools in the industry, look great while doing it and save you money. We know that once you put a Columbia tool into your hands, you will clearly feel and see the key differences in quality and will be blown away by the value.
